Phyllis and I, Susan (Wynne) were lifelong friends, as was Helen, her sister. I saw David too when I visited Aunty Margaret and Uncle Evan, their parents. Our mothers met in the Armaments factory in Marchwiel, Wrexham during WW2. They repeated stories of their experiences, not all of which were serious! and Phyllis and I told others of them after they had passed away.
Phyllis was the smiliest person I have known, always chuckling as she saw the funny side of life. She had a wonderfully happy childhood and a deeply happy marriage and family life.
I loved our days out together and I cherish the last time I saw her on a family gathering in July 2024 when Helen’s children and their families visited from America.
My mind is filled now with the many happy times we spent together—I shall miss her so deeply. My thoughts now are with Gareth and David and their families. I say to them-how blessed you were with such brilliant, loving parents, Phyllis and Terry.

So sorry to hear this news. Mum saw Phillis at St Kents a few times in the last year. I also saw her at Bodrhyddan Hall in June and had a good chat. Lots of memories from Tremeirchion. Love to the family. Kathryn (nee Wynne)
